Fitness Friday on Saturday! (Whoops)
Hello everyone! If you read my last post, you know that I have a TON going on right now and have been very preoccupied with all of it. I'm still here though and plan to stick around and continue to come up with posts for you! One thing that I did do this week was keep up with my fitness! I am trying to make a regular schedule for myself for running. At this point, it seems that Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday are the days I am going for runs. This way, I can give myself a day of rest during the week and allow for some R&R on the weekend. This week I ran a total of 10 miles in my four run days. I also got to try out my new hoodie I bought for the cold weather runs I've been enduring! This is the first year I've spent a lot of time doing runs in fairly cold weather. The hoodie I bought was rather inexpensive from Marshall's and is great! It's fairly lightweight and thin, so my armband for my phone fits comfortably around my arm. It keeps me warm, yet wicks moisture away from my skin.
Here's a picture of my outfit the other day after a run:
I have also been keeping up with goal of 365 miles in 365 days! This picture was taken on January 31st and I had run a total of 32 miles so far. I am right on track (actually a little ahead)!!
Along with keeping up with other workouts, such as ab workouts after my runs, the roomie and I attended a yoga class at Wilmington Yoga Center taught by one of her friends. We were warned before the class that she is a slave driver and boy is she! The class was a "hot yoga" class, although she told us it was actually cooler than usual in there. I had never done a hot yoga class before and can't imagine what it would have felt like if it was hotter! The class felt amazing and I was sore for half of the week! We are planning to continue attending these classes when we can make it (or afford it).
Today I am having my first dress fitting for my wedding dress! I am very excited because I can feel that from running and working out regularly throughout this past month, I have slimmed down a bit. I'm looking forward to wearing my dress again and getting that much closer to our wedding day! :D
Did you have a good fitness week? Have you tried hot yoga before? What do you think of yoga? Let me know!
Great job on sticking to your plan! I hate working out, but I do like yoga, and I have heard the hot yoga is amazing! I need to start a regime soon!
